Bachelor in Interior Design

Course Overview :

Bachelor in Interior Design is a 3-year degree course that mainly focuses  Theory of Design, Freehand drawing and Geometric construction, Analytical drawing, Material Exposure, Science of Interior Design, Graphic Communication and Visual Presentation,  Interior Construction and Detailing, Computer-aided Design (CAD) – AutoCAD, Art and Architecture History- 1, and more. The course is designed in a way to equip students with all the necessary skills to make them job-ready. 

Visits to relevant businesses, hands-on experience through internships and workshops run by experts in the field are all made available to students, and they also have access to a wealth of other resources. Students who have recently completed high school and are interested in a career in interior design will benefit greatly from enrolling in this Bachelor’s degree program. 

Course Objectives :

1. Gain a deeper comprehension of the History of furniture and the use of anthropometric data in designing spaces for various activities.
2. Gain knowledge of the planning principles that govern the design of various interior spaces.
3. Learn the elements and principles of design, such as space planning, color theory, lighting, and furniture placement.
4. Master the technical aspects of interior design, including construction and architectural drawings, detailing, and specifications.

The technical facets encompassed in this context pertain to the creation of construction and architectural drawings, as well as the development of detailing and specifications.
3. Ethical and legal implications associated with the practice of interior design. Specifically, it addresses various aspects such as client relations, contractual obligations, liability, contract building, invoice management, and tax filing.
